Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, built along the cliffs of Flatrock, is the largest grotto in eastern Canada. It is very popular with tourists and locals, alike, and highly recommended because of its spiritual significance and incredible beauty.
The grotto was designed by a former community priest who, after visiting a grotto in Lourdes, France, felt compelled to build a shrine of the same construction within the cliffs of Flatrock.
After walking the staircase to the top of the grotto, you will find a grassy field containing stations of the cross and, behind a rock wall, a statue of Christ on a cross.
